Regular Cooperation Committee meeting of Programme CZ15 - "Effective Cooperation in Justice and the Development of Correctional Services" was held on 12 - 13 October 2015 in Lillestrøm, Norway (hereinafter referred to as CZ15).

Norway was represented by the Directorate of Norwegian Correctional Service. From the Czech Republic the meeting was attended by the representatives of the Ministry of Justice, the Prison Service, the Probation and Mediation Service and the Ministry of Finance. Representative of the Council of Europe was also present at the meeting – in the role of a programme partner.

Cooperation Committee meeting was devoted primarily to current issues related to the implementation of Programme CZ15 and individual predefined projects. There were also discussed issues focused on the strengthening of bilateral cooperation at the programme level as an essential aspect of the EEA and Norway grants, including the discussion of particular bilateral initiatives. Visit to the prison in Oslo was organized for the participants of the meeting on the second day. This prison is the oldest and largest prison in whole Norway.

Participants from the Czech Republic were able to get practical experience with the Norwegian system of correctional services. This system is in many aspects different from the system in the Czech Republic, but from the perspective of the Czech Prison Service is perceived as inspiring.
