The Ministry of Finance in cooperation with the Ministry of Culture of the Czech Republic, Arts Council Norway and the Icelandic Centre for Research announces on 26. 11. 2019 Open Call for proposals of projects focusing on contemporary art.
The call is open to all who are planning unique professional cultural and creative acts taking place in the Czech Republic from autumn 2020. We are looking for innovative projects daring to address current social challenges / arising from local needs / opening intercultural dialogue / open to interdisciplinary cooperation / aiming at original creation and its presentation / developing audience / not afraid of coproduction / strengthening management of cultural operators and artists.
Allocation: 77 100 000 Kč / EUR 3 000 000
Deadline for submission of applications: 16. 3. 2020 (12:00 p.m.)
Applications can be submitted only electronically in the information system CEDR. The information system will be open for receipt of applications min. 2 months before the deadline, i.e. 15. 1. 2020.

For preparation of applications, the applicants shall use the Guideline for Applicants with its annexes including a Checklist for pre-check of project intention eligibility and readiness for submission of the application.

Seminar for Applicants
The seminar for applicants in the support area Contemporary Art, Art and Cultural Criticism, Capacity Building of Umbrella Associations, Networks and Platforms will be held in Prague (Ministry of Culture, Maltézské nám. 1 - Konírna) on 16. 1. 2020 in Czech language. The seminar will introduce the open call and conditions for submission of applications. Due to the high interest the registration has been already closed. A recording from the seminar will be published on this website including the FAQ.
In case of general questions that should be mentioned and answered at the seminar (or any other suggestion regarding the seminar), can be filled in the question form (the form will be available until 6. 1. 2020).
