We bring preliminary results of Contemporary Arts open call. The Selection Committee recommended 18 excellent projects from the fields of theater, music, literature, the new circus and fine arts.

In the open call, which was open from the end of November 2019 until mid-April 2020, we received a total of 74 applications. The 62 projects were prepared in cooperation with partners from Norway and Iceland. 72 applications, which met the formal requirements and conditions of eligibility, were evaluated by expert evaluators and, based on their opinions, the evaluation committee recommended to support 18 of them. A list of preliminary results can be downloaded below on this page.

The verification of the evaluation process started in the second half of September 2020 and it has been confirmed the evaluation managed by the Ministry of Culture (Program Partner) was held in a transparent manner in line with the rules of the EEA Grants, programme Culture and the open call.

Due to the continuing verification process of individual applications, we notify the applicants, that these results are preliminary and may change including the grant size (e.g. resulting from conditions set by the selection committee including budget cuts, conditions of applied state aid regime or other suggested changes).

Due to the high number of quality projects and the current situation in the field of culture associated with the Covid-19 pandemic, we asked donors to increase the allocation of this call. In case of approval, applications on the reserve list will be addressed in the order confirmed by the evaluation committee.

Final results will be published on www.eeagrants.cz/en after the verification process is concluded as a whole (with regard to a possible increase in the allocation, we assume during December 2020) . Applicants will be notified via the data box and in the CEDR IS. Information on the evaluation of individual applications will not be published.

Supported projects will be gradually introduced on our website. We believe that all of them will make contemporary art accessible to the public and help cultural organizations, artists and cultural workers to develop their activities and generally support art and cultural cooperation not only within the Czech Republic, but also with donor countries.
