Primary objectives of our activities include raising knowledge about the institutions of the EU and education focused on active citizenship and modern history. Among our main activities are: 1. Organisation of educational projects for students and for secondary school teachers. 2. Organisation of debates, seminars and conferences in regions of the Czech Republic and abroad. 3. Implementation of study trips and international projects. EUTIS is member of European Network for Education and Training (EUNET).
|Area of Cooperation||Vzdělání, Občanská společnost|
We would like to base on our experience and develop international project for young people focused on active citizenship. Our vision is to change the approach of young people (15-21 years old) to politics, to make them become active and participating members of the civic society, lead a constructive dialogue with politicians and cooperate on creating their environment. The project provides both groups with space for communication with the expert support of a mentoring team and with help for writing their first project (the first change) and its realization.
The realization of even little change can teach the students many things: looking for resources, democratic ways of advancing ideas and opinions (and that things are not black-or-white), cooperation with fellow citizens as well as the community leadership. These experiences help students to start working on another change, maybe a bigger one. We combine one-day-workshops in regions for groups of high school students and local politicians/officers and mentoring support with writing and realizing small projects.
