Project description:
Main goals are:
- Development of micromachined ionization interfaces allowing highly sensitive mass spectrometry analysis of pre-separated biochemical compounds.
- Development of micromachined separation system utilizing the own patented principle of recycling chromatography in which the sample passes repeatedly though the (micro)separation column leading to a significant increase of resolution of its components.
- Development of methodology for coupling of conventional microcolumn-based separation and on-a-chip separation techniques to mass spectrometer through the micromachined interfaces.
- Demonstration of innovation potential of the developed technologies by showcasing two demonstrators targeting high impact applications relevant for life sciences and pharma industries.
