The contact seminar for eligible applicants for a grant from the forthcoming calls under the Programme CZ11 – "Public Health Initiatives" funded by the Norway Grants 2009 - 2014 was organized on the 23rd of April 2014 in Prague. Representatives from potential donor project partners were present at this seminar.

Strengthening cooperation between beneficiary state and donor state (the Czech Republic and the Kingdom of Norway) is one of the main objectives of the Norway Grants 2009-2014. This objective is being deepened through the Funds for bilateral relations. Programme level of Funds under the Programme CZ11 – „Public Health Initiatives” is divided into two activities. One of these activities is organization of the contact seminar.

The seminar was launched by opening words of Deputy Minister of the Ministry of Health, Mr Petr Salák, the Ambassador of the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Prague, H.E. Jens Eikaas, representative of the Norwegian Institute of Public Health, Ms Elizabeth Peackocke, and Head the of Centre for Foreign Assistance of the Ministry of Finance, Mr Martin Boruta. Opening words were followed by presentations about focus of the programme, about calls for the Fund for bilateral relations at programme level – measure A and measure B.

Afternoon part of the programme was devoted to the presentation of representatives of 7 Norwegian organizations who presented their activity and offered possibility of cooperation with Czech organizations.

The final part of the programme was dedicated to the meetings between potential applicants and potential partners. Approximately 70 eligible applicants took part in the seminar, especially representatives from non-profit sector and representatives of health services providers.
