Seminar „Archival Film Today“, realized as the bilateral initiative within Fund for Bilateral Relations at Programme Level - “B” measure, programme CZ06, will be held on Tuesday May 26, 2015 from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM in the Small Hall of the Municipal Library in Prague (Marian Square 1).

Seminar for general public is organised by the Czech National Film Archive and Creative Europe Desk Czech Republic – MEDIA, in partnership with the Association des Cinémathèques Européens – ACE and the Municipal Library of Prague.

Seminar will help to improve bilateral relations within the implementation of project „Digital Restoration of Czech Film Heritage“, which is supported by the grant of Iceland, Liechtenstein and Norway and co-financed by the Ministry of Culture.

Seminar is aimed at the topic of digitisation of film and audiovisual heritage and how to facilitate access to it. Digitisation is beng carried on under the rationale of enabling access, but it seems to be only the very first step in making sure that our audiovisual heritage is available, known and alive.
Foreign and local guests will present examples of best practice how to support and develop our audiovisual heritage. Seminar will be in English with simultaneous translation into Czech.

More information can be found on the project´s website or on Facebook (in czech only).
