Objective of the Project

The subject of the present project is overall structural and historic renewal of the neo-gothic temple, national cultural monument, in the chateau park in Krásný Dvůr. The structure is a unique example of garden architecture designed in 1792 by Count Jan Rudolf Černín, the owner of the estate at that time. This is the first example of neo-gothic structure in the Czech Republic. The project focuses on sensitive renewal of the historic nature of the structure with maximum respect for the original materials and survived architectural elements. The project plans reconstruction of the entrance staircases, renewal of interior paving, repair of the interior wooden ribs, reconstruction of the turret coat, repair of the wooden ribs along the perimeter of the turret, installation of a copy of the observation platform, repair of the spiral staircases, renewal of the statue and other necessary structural interventions and subsequent installation of an exhibition on history of landscape parks and the phenomenon of small garden architecture and opening the structure to the public not only in the form of a tour around the interior and the observation platform but also in the form of concerts and other social events held in this venue. Special focus will be on creation of educational programmes and organisation of educational activities for organised groups of children and youth from pre-school children to secondary school students, inter alia with a special module for clients of the nearby social facilities.
