The name of the programme “Biodiversity, 

Monitoring and Climate Change” covers several 

areas that were supported by the programme: 

biodiversity protection, ecosystem services, 

environmental monitoring and measures 

related to climate change. Still, they all have 

one thing in common: environmental protection 

with the main aim of halting the loss of 

biodiversity.
